Unforgivable: Michael Jordan Statue In Dubai Wears Wrong Number

It’s pretty incredible that basketball has become so popular that you can find fans all over Europe, China and even the Middle East these days, which is why you might not think it’s so strange to see a Michael Jordan statue in Dubai…until you realize the statue’s number is the wrong one.
A sports grill at the Dubai Mall has a life-like statue of His Airness, and he’s wearing a No. 32 Bulls jersey—a number worn in real by 7-foot white guy Will Purdue throughout much of Jordan’s tenure in Chicago.
Since MJ (who, we assume you know, wore No. 23 for most of his career) hasn’t played in the league in about eight years, we’re guessing not too many Dubaians realize the creator of the statue messed up what is one of the most iconic numbers in NBA history. And unless they happen to be subscribers to ESPN Classic, or Jordan makes an improbable comeback, they’re unlikely to find out.

I have had it up to here with Dubai....just building a mega city with invisible money, filled with islands in the shape of the world and a mall with a ski mountain in it or some shit. It's over Dubai, that was the last straw...this shit is bad, something needs to be done. You can't just ao around making statues of the G.O.A.T and put #32 on it. I will no longer stand idely by, you want a holy war Dubai? I'll give you a fucking holy war.

It's a Bad Idea

Itss a terrrrrrible bad idea. I can listen to this guy talk all day.... and look at that fuckin beard! But, you know what, he has got a fuckin point. An idiot woulda knowed to make the top proportinate to the bottom. He backs up this thesis of it being a bad idea by showing the spoon and how absolutely filthy it gets...not with the peanut butter jar though...thats a fuckin brilliant idea. This has Seinfeld episode written all over it, so naturally I loved it. Could you imagine Kramer swingin open the door yelling about jars and how their tops are too small and how people need to stand up against jar making companies? This is the America I know, speaking our minds and backin it the fuck up like this guy. Take notes kids ....this guy gets it.

Radiohead to release 'The King of Limbs' through Web site

Radiohead announced Monday that it will release its eighth studio album, “The King of Limbs,” and allow fans to download it beginning Saturday from http://www.thekingoflimbs.com/DIUSD.htm.
      
       Unlike the 2007 release of the British quintet’s previous studio album, “In Rainbows,” however, Radiohead fans will have to pay for downloads of “The King of Limbs.” An MP3 version of the album, at a high-quality audio rate of 320 kilobits per second, will be available for $9 and a Waveform Audio File Format or WAV version (CD quality)  will be sold for $14.
      
   Special-edition physical copies of the album – advertised as the “world’s first Newspaper Album” -- will be made available through the Web site May 9, for $48 (with MP3 download) or $53 (with WAV download), that include a CD, two 10-inch vinyl records  and extensive artwork.
  
   Standard CD and vinyl versions of the album will be made available March 28 in retail outlets through a partnership with XL Recordings, with whom Radiohead collaborated to release “In Rainbows.” Before the physical release of “In Rainbows,” the band made the music available as a free digital download from its Web site, but at a lower bit rate that dissatisfied some audiophile fans. Despite being available for free for two months, the album went on to sell more than 3 million copies worldwide and became one of the band’s most popular releases.

Rarely will I post about music because this is a sports oriented blog, but I have, have, have, have to post this. People it is Radiohead and they are back about to relase, "The King of Limbs". Everything I've been hearing is that Thom and crew find this to be their best piece of work yet. Seriously I don't know how you get better, like In Rainbows was untouchable...fuckin 15 step, jigsaw falling into place, weird fishes.. YES! I'm still deciding if I can afford the Newspaper Album at this point....I really feel like this is the only route to go....actually ya I'm going to pay $48 bucks for it.... it is just plain out worth it and 40 years from now that shit is going to be GOLD! I'm going to lock myself in my room and listen to this all day Saturday. I'm callin it ...Best album of the decade people....unless they release another one. When her 16-year-old son got into trouble last November, Rashida Anderson responded with punishment - she took away Kendall's PlayStation.
That proved fatal.
Following a 90-minute argument the day after Thanksgiving, police allege, Kendall went into his sleeping mother's bedroom, hit her 20 times with a claw hammer and ultimately killed her.
The story of Rashida Anderson's bloody end - as told by her son in his confession to Philadelphia police homicide Det. Thorsten Lucke - was read to a Philadelphia Municipal Court judge, who ordered the lanky youth to stand trial for murder, possession of an instrument of crime and abuse of corpse.
Anderson, a lanky 5-foot-8 youth dressed in a blue striped polo shirt and slacks, looked quizzically about the courtroom as Lucke read his confession during the preliminary hearing before Judge Karen Yvette Simmons.
According to Anderson's statement, the 11th grader at Daniel Boone School in North Philadelphia paced for about three hours in his South Philadelphia home trying to decide if he should kill his mother.
"I couldn't stand the arguing," Lucke said, reading the youth's statement.
When the hammer attack did not kill her, Anderson told police, he dragged her downstairs and tried to "cremate her" in the kitchen oven. When that failed, he continued, he beat her in the head with a chair leg before dragging her body outside and hiding under debris in an alley behind the house.
Lucke said that Anderson expressed remorse for the crime and told him: "If I could, I would not do it again. I really miss my mom . . . she was the only person who cared for me."

Nothing funny about this really...... Seriously this is just beyond me, a 16 year old kid crying over his PSP? I'm not even old, but boy how the times have changed....when I was 16 I just got my first phone and I was too busy trying to get numbers to call up local bitties in my area to see if they wanted to give me a tug job. Kid gets grounded from his PSP and kills his mom, seriously bro? Go jack off in your room, 10 times better than anything your fucking donkey kong game can do. Crazier thing is that this was as premeidtated as a motherfucker....hammer, cremation in an oven, hide her in the alley.....that shit just ain't off the cuff. Wouldn't shed a tear to see this kid get a life sentence. No joke, people like this don't belong in civilized society....have fun thinking about how you killed your mom over a stupid PSP the rest of your life dumbass.

Pujols rejects Cards offer!

Cardinals slugger Albert Pujols received and rejected a contract proposal from St. Louis two weeks ago and there has been no progress in the talks since then, a source told ESPN The Magazine's Buster Olney.

Barring a last-minute deal, the 31-year-old Pujols will make an announcement Tuesday ceasing negotiations, according to USA Today, which was the first to report the Cardinals' offer had been rejected.

 
Pujols previously said that if a deal was not made by the time he reports for spring training on Wednesday, he will not negotiate again this season.


After he begins spring training, Pujols does not want his agent, Dan Lozano, to discuss a contract with the Cardinals because he doesn't want to have any distractions, a stance he has taken throughout his career.


Ummmm......Okay I'm not going to go too far into this because they could still squeak out a deal....But seriously, I wanna jump up and down right now like a tweenie at a Beiber concert. I don't care what you fucking say, "Screw Pujols I hate the Cards!" Um NO! GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY WAY! Hawks lose again….in Shootout

Seriously? Again? Watching the Hawks are like watching Illinois basketball right now…..just nothing about it is fun. Leading early, getting too comfortable, poop..we lose. You can't lose 3-0 leads, you just can't……spotty goaltending by Turko and the injury bug is just killing us, 3 injuries in the second alone with Pisani, Stalberg, and Ryan Johnson all going down. Hawks ended up blowing it in penalty shots to end up losing 4-3. This just sucks, spring is coming around the corner and the Cubs are just going to make me cry again……I have a lot of faith riding on the Bulls right now. Comeon Bulls. Whatever I'm going to watch Curb…no one can turn my frown upside down like Larry jew David.

LeBron, fan exchange words

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. -- LeBron James took a moment during Friday's game against the Detroit Pistons to fire back at a heckling fan who insulted his mother.

After hearing a fan sitting near the court behind the Heat's bench mention his mother's name, James walked toward the scorer's table and addressed the male fan.

"I don't care what you say to me. I don't give a [expletive] what you say," James said to the fan. "But don't be disrespectful."

The exchange came during a break in action with 1.7 seconds left in the first quarter and was picked up by television microphones.

James responded to the fan, who shouted the comments within earshot of James' two young sons who sat courtside near the Heat's bench.

The fan, who declined to give his name to ESPN.com, said he was offended by James' cursing. He was also told by security to refrain from heckling the rest of the game or he would be escorted out.'

What a pussy…..no not LeBron for once…this is aimed toward the heckler. Awww he was offended, listen man you were doing everything right…you probably said something along the lines of "Your mom snorts coke lines of Delonte West's dick!" Perfect, but then LeBron comes over and puts you in your place and you curl up in a little ball and cry about it…aww you were offended? God damn people…..if you are going to dish it out you have got to learn how to take it. Some people just don't know how to be an asshole. Seriously bro, never heckle again, just eat your fuckin popcorn while the pros do it. Detroit is really pissing me off lately.
